information, as well as some great shortcuts. These shortcuts will help
you get on the river faster once you are here at Front Royal
Canoe/Shenandoah River Trips on the day of your outing! If you have
been with us before, you can simply click

Do I
Need To Make A Reservation?
Simply
put...Yes, you probably need a reservation and you definitely need to download and fill out our
release forms prior to arriving for your outing. Reservations
are recommended for:
- Weekends
- Holidays
- Always call
ahead during mid-week to be sure equipment is available.
- During peak
paddling season - (Memorial through Labor Day)
If this applies
to your outing, be sure to continue on to Step 2
to determine how far in advance you should make your reservation with
Front Royal Canoe/Shenandoah River Trips.
How Soon Should I Make My Reservation?
We suggest
reservations 2 weeks in advance. A deposit of $20.00 per canoe, kayak,
raft or $8.00 per tube reserved must be received no later than 72 hours
prior to your reservation date. Easier yet...just use your Mastercard,
Visa, or American Express card to secure your reservation by phone.
Front Royal Canoe/Shenandoah River Trips does not charge the securing
credit card at the time of reservation - allowing reserved guests to
chose the payment mode when they arrive. During midweek simply call
ahead to secure your boat.
Review Reservation,
Cancellation And Raincheck Policy
If you must
cancel your trip or reduce the number of watercraft or participants,
simply let us know by close of business 72 hours prior to your outing .
We operate rain or shine, with flood water being the sole exception. We
offer NO RAINY DAY REFUNDS, however, rainchecks
will be issued upon request for a future date of your choice. RAIN CHECKS and NO SHOW
(those who do not honor their reservation or reduce equipment or
participants after 72 hour period) reservations will have his/her card
charged the deposit amount of the reserved equipment. In order to
receive a rain check it must be raining at our headquarters. No
Exceptions!
Step 4: Review Safety and
Liability Policy
We
make every effort to assure you a safe trip,
however, all river recreation has some danger; therefore, we require
you to sign a release form / liability
waiver. This form should be printed out via the Internet,
signed, and brought with you on the day of your trip. This will greatly
speed up getting you on the river!
MINIMUM
AGES - NO EXCEPTIONS!
Rafts....................4yrs.
Canoes, Tubes, Kayaks.....................6yrs.
*For
your safety, we have a limit of three people per canoe. NO EXCEPTIONS!
*Anyone under the influence of drugs or alcohol is subject to arrest by
authorities.
*We reserve the right to refuse service to any one we deem
unfit for river recreation.

About
Our Equipment and What Comes With Your Rental
*All
rentals include: life vests, paddles, shuttle service, detailed
river maps, safety orientation and instructions.
*About our equipment: To enhance your safety and enjoyment, we
provide you with only the best quality professional equipment - from
Old Town Discovery canoes and NRS White water rafts to more comfortable
Type III life vests and high quality float tubes.

To reserve
your trip, simply call us at 1-800-727-4371 (or for overseas call
+1-540-635-5050) to speak with our friendly, helpful staff. When
calling, please have the following information ready:
*Which
trip(s) you are
thinking about taking.
*The date(s) of your outing.
*The number of people in your group.
*The ages of the people in your group who may be under 18 years old.
*A valid Visa, Mastercard, or American Express card.
My Reservation Has Been Made,
When Do I Arrive For My Trip?
For those
with reservations, You must
arrive a MINIMUM of 30 minutes before your scheduled
departure time with your signed & filled out release forms in hand. This allows you and
your group time to use the rest room, sign any paperwork, and prepare
to board our shuttle vehicles. Any late arrivals risk DELAYED SERVICE
due to overlapping with other reservations.
Step
8: Review The Fine Print & Print The Release Form
- Minimum
Ages(at normal water levels): Rafts is 4 years old. Canoes, Tubes, and
Kayaks is 6 years old.
- For your
protection, we will continue to limit paddlers to 3 per canoe. No
Exceptions
- Anyone under
the influence of drugs and/or alcohol is subject to arrest by state and
local authorities. Alcohol and Riversports do not mix.
- We reserve
the right to refuse service to anyone we deem unfit for river
recreation.
- Because all
forms of river recreation have some inherent risks, we require all
participants to sign our Release Form,
which is a liability waiver and an assumption of risk agreement.
This release form is a legally binding
contract. Please read and understand before signing. Failure to read
and understand does not relieve the signer from the legal obligations.

member of your entire group read and sign the form. Finally, bring
this form with you on the day of your outing.
By doing this before your trip and bringing it with you, we are able to
get you and your group on the river MUCH faster than if you had to fill
this form out at our headquarters.
